Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using The Memory App, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

These terms apply to all versions of the app including iOS, Android, and any web access.

Who we are

The Memory App is an indie app operated by Kabilan Senapathy. You can reach us at support@algorismlabs.com.

Your account

You must sign in with Google or Apple to use the app. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that occurs under it.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we will delete it.

Your content

You own the memories and content you create in the app. We do not claim any ownership over your content.

By using the app you grant us a limited licence to store, sync, and process your content solely to provide the service to you. We do not use your content for any other purpose, including training AI models.

You are responsible for the content you store. Do not store content that is illegal or that you do not have the right to store.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app. This includes, but is not limited to: attempting to gain unauthorised access to our systems, scraping or extracting data in bulk, or using the app to store or distribute illegal content.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen inside the app. Deletion permanently removes your profile and all your memories from our servers within 30 days. This action cannot be undone.

Availability

We aim to keep the app available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time.

If we ever decide to shut down the app entirely, we will give reasonable notice so you have time to export your data.

Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or that your data will never be lost.

You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of any content that is important to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kabilan Senapathy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Because the app is provided free of charge, our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the app is zero to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the United States.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will update the date below and notify you by email where required. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
